Hi, I’m Brian Kelly. I’m Co-Founder of YogiLab and I’m a certified breathing coach. I’ve helped nearly 3,000 students heal through the power of the breath. But before I discovered breathwork, my mornings were a dark place to be. Every day, on repeat, I’d wake up with a rising sense of panic, and head straight for the emails on my phone.
After a quick shower, I was out the door, straight to work, a double shot of coffee and breakfast on the go. I was struggling badly. But the crazy part is, nobody knew it. Not my wife, my business partners, my employees… Or my mom, who I share everything with. I’d become so expert at hiding my pain and bottling it all up, I even convinced myself I was ok.
But deep down I knew something wasn’t right. One night, the stress finally caught up with me. I broke down. Just fell to my knees and cried my eyes out for what seemed like hours. After I was done, I felt like an 800-pound gorilla had jumped off my back. I realized I was in trouble. But the real breakthrough came when I was invited to try guided breathwork.
I had no idea what to expect. But after just a few minutes of the first exercise, my whole body was tingling, my mind went still, I literally felt like I was floating off the floor. It was one of the most euphoric moments of my life. That was the beginning… It taught me that it wasn’t the busyness of my life that was driving me crazy.
It was the busyness of my mind. Not only was my nervous system totally off balance, I learned that my everyday breathing was completely out of whack too. I guess that’s obvious if you’re stressed and anxious. But I had it backwards. I was actually causing my own stress and anxiety BECAUSE my breathing was all over the place.

Most people don’t know this, because, of course, we breathe all day every day — but the vast majority of us are doing it wrong!

This knowledge was a total game changer for me.

I started my journey with Breath Masters as a participant with a breathwork journey on Zoom.

I didn’t start the Breath Masters Certification right away, but it had been on my mind for probably a year. I’m a PT and specialize in working with clients who have chronic pain. I found that many of my clients had childhood trauma, and even current traumas and emotions, that were contributing to their pain, so I knew that I needed something more. I was able to get on a consultation call with a certified Breath Masters Coach and learn about him and his experience with the program. I decided to start right after that call.
I love the program and the depth of the program information. I also enjoyed that the program can be done at your own pace if unable to complete it in 10 weeks. This gave me time to dive in and be able to study as I needed or take some time away to focus on my PT clients and business. There is also a community Facebook group and the communication within the program is exceptional, if you have questions Kate or Hanna are there to answer emails and help Brian and they are very knowledgeable and helpful.

I also love the Q&A’s and enjoy going back and watching some of them as I learn new information all the time. AJ who is Brian’s partner also has offered coaching Zoom calls around mindset and business. I know other people who have done other certifications who do not have a how-to-get-started business component and we do which is very valuable.
I have started implementing Transformational Breathwork into my client care and am doing group classes and it has made an impact on my client’s physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
